What books/stories/comics/plays/real life events/life stories would you like to see on film?
Some of the things I would like to see, just off the top of my head are:
A biopic of Orson Welles I'd like to see Kevin Spacey's biopic of Bobby Darin get made I'd like to see a John Carter of Mars film based on the series of books by Edgar Rice Burroughs I would like to see a good cinematic version of Richard Matheson's I Am Legend

An Authority film would be the ultimate super hero movie. Reading it is like watching a 200 million dollar film.

One thing I've wanted to write a script for would be a fictious American version of the story of Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling. Have it right down to a T, from the Onita beginnings, to the Hayabusa superstardom, right down to Hayabusa's paralysis, Fuyuki running the company into the ground and end it with the Shoichi Arai character committing suicide. Just make everybody American and pretend it was made that way.
That would rule.

THE EYES OF THE DRAGON by Stephen King. Plus I'd like to see a movie version of the UK series THE OFFICE, but only if they could get its star Ricky Gervais to star in it. I'm not a big fan of OFFICE SPACE, and I sadly haven't seen the UK show, but a film version would be great in making Gervais a household name.

I got one........the rise of yellow journalism in the late 1800s. I just think that would be a cool idea for a movie. And yes I was a journalism major.

I'd like to see a movie trilogy based on the Dragonlance Chronicles series. And, as a sequel trilogy, they could do a trilogy based on the Dragonlance Legends series!
Wouldn't mind seeing something based on Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, either. And how about Preacher? A big-budget version of The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy would be pretty awesome too.
I agree with TIC, a Dark Tower movie/series of movies would be cool, but only if Clint Eastwood signs on to play Roland.
I'd also like to see a biopic on Mick Foley, one of wrestling's few true heroes.
