There's a small clip off the new Metallica album that can be downloaded at the link below. It doesn't sound THAT bad, better than anything on Load/Re-load. www.allmetallica.com/march3clip.zip

Amen! At least some people have good taste. Not many women I know that actually like Metallica. My favorite songs on that album (if you can actually pick a favorite) are Enter Sandman, Sad But True, Unforgiven, and The God That Failed

"Ride The Lightning" blows away "One"
"Black" sucks. It's the album that turned Metallica away from thrash and into pussy radio rock.

[glow=red,2,300]Well you know Metallica is going to be inducted into MTV's Icon Hall of Fame on May 3? I find that kind of amusing, cuz Metallica isn't really an MTV band, if you know what I mean. [/glow]

St. Anger is gonna kick ass. Favorite Metallica Song of All time...tough call. Gonna have to go with "Fade to Black." Although VERY close seconds go to "Ride the Lightning," "Enter Sandman," " One," "The God That Failed," and "Battery." Just way too many to choose from. And the ICON show was awesome. Was surprised at how good Avril's cover of "Fuel" was. Snoop Dogg's cover of "Sad But True" sucked sour ass! Surprised James and Lars didn't beat his ass down after the show.

Avril's cover wasn't that good. Snoop Dogg and Limp Bizkit just sucked that much that it made her look good. The only good cover I saw was by Staind.

First off, my thoughts on Icon. All the covers were shitastic and Limp Bizkit...dj scratching in place of a solo? Blasphemy. Metallica's performance actualy had me singin' along to the old songs. Though that wasn't their best "Creeping Death" it had me throwin' the fist in the air shouting "DIE!" over and over. now.. Incase you haven't heard it yet or saw the video. St. Anger SongSt. Anger VideoThis is complete shit, you've been warned.

It couldn't have been worse than Kid Rock's "cover" of Sad But True. Seriously, I've not heard much of their old Stewff, but I've heard good things about it. The closest thing I've ever heard to pre-Black Metallica was Sting's entry music when he came out to what was supposed to be "Seek and Destroy."
