First, I go see my favorite band ever, and gods of music, the Flaming Lips in St. Louis. It was a phenominal show. It was bursting with joy, beauty and fun. I mean, there's nothing like singing "Do You Realize" with a couple thousand kids in a room filled with confetti, giant balloons, a screen with a topless women jumping around throwing a frisbee, kids in animals coStewmes, hand puppets, and Wayne with a face covered in fake blood from singing "Happy Birthday" just minutes ago. It still brightens my every waking moment just thinking about it.
I also got two other VERY good shows that night in Aqueduct (a real shocker - they were a last minute fill in, and did brilliantly) and the Starlight Mints who, despite a few technical problems, really relayed their off-kilter style very well.
Now, I'm ultra-psyched because I get to add three great new bands to that list of bands I've seen live: Dead Meadow, GRANDADDY, AND THE SUPER FURRY ANIMALS!! I was so excited to hear that they'd be in Louisville on September 30th. I mean, its going to be a hell of a drive, and its on a school night, but its totally going to be worth it.
I'm also considering going to see Polyphonic Spree in Chicago on October 5th, but hopefully they'll add some dates closer.
I love music.

I saw Lynard Skynard and Deep Purple in concert in Dublin. They were both amazing. Recently a lot more bands have been coming to Ireland, which is alright by me.

I saw Taking Back Sunday the other day. I don't think anyone else from wOw listens to them though... except Serveaux, but he doesn't post here anymore.
