I am just watching the two episodes in my boxed set of Sports Night and it is making me feel crap since I know that there is no more, and never will be. What a show.
What are the best shows canceled before their time?

Just off the top of my head, I'd say pretty much any of the cartoons that are now on Comedy Central (not including "South Park"):
The Critic, Clerks, Undergrads, Gary and Mike, and Dilbert (you could throw "Duckman" in there too, I guess, though, personally, I'm not really a fan of the show).
Oh, and all those ones Fox had a few years ago that only lasted a few episodes; "Undeclared", "Greg the Bunny", and "Grounded for Life" (though I think "Grounded" might still be on, on like UPN or somethin').
I'll also say "That's My Bush" (yeah, yeah, I know, I'm basically the only person on the planet who liked that show), "3 South", "Invader Zim", and "Spicy City" (it was on HBO around '97 or so, and only had, like, three episodes).
There's a ton more, I know, but I'm sticking with more recent ones.

When a show features a man impregnated when a Rocket flew into his ass containing Alien , Bull , Hillbilly , Robot & 12 Different Engineers Sperm. You realise th show is reaching.
When the mans Mother pumps him full of estrogen so he turns into a woman to carry the child. Then you know it's time to call it a day.
That said... Dogbert ruled.

No one has mentioned Futurama, so I think I'd better.
Firefly was also canceled way before it's time.

Heh, I'm sure Bombastico will hate me for this, but I consider Sports Night to be the least funny show in television history. I would rather be stabbed in the eyes repeatedly with a soldering iron than watch 5 minutes of Sports Night.
That said, I think Salute Your Shorts was cancelled too early, as well as Futurama.

I thought Brimstone was cancelled WAAAAAAAAAAAAY before its time.
Fox: Get us 10.0 in 3 weeks or you're cancelled!

I thought Brimstone was cancelled WAAAAAAAAAAAAY before its time. Fox: Get us 10.0 in 3 weeks or you're cancelled! That is one of my favourite shows ever. Lots of TV companies seem to have an inability to learn from history. Virtually all their highest rated and most long lasting shows started smaller and gathered fans over the first two series.

Hey, I got one: how 'bout a DVD-set of every XFL game?
Crap, yes, but in ten years, that could be a HUGE collector's item.

Now and Again was pretty good as was Miracles (which didn't even get close to a chance).
