I just recently played this game, and was thoroughly disappointed. The only pro is the improved graphics. Otherwise, it's Just Bring It! redone, without a blocking system. If I wanted to play a game where you mash on the punch button forever, I'd play Streets of Rage.

It's actually much better. They didn't do too much with the gameplay (although it is still leagues better than JBI), but they did improve story mode, CAW, the menus, and the modes. And the intros are pretty damn good.

The roster is huge too. Friends and I had tons of fun having battle royals where we screw each other and they result in the computer's Sean "The Planet" Stasiak winning. Plus you could steal the person's finisher. If I had a nickel for every time I stole Planet Stasiak's DDT.

This game doesn't blow! It's not perfect but I really like it. It's the best SD to date but there's always room for improvement (and jell-o.) The character models are better than the ones found in WWE Raw for the "more powerful" X box. Check out Ivory's model some time, it's awesome!

I like this game too. It's not really as much a button-masher as other games. The characters (and there are lots of them) look great.
One of the little fun things I did: I formed a stable consisting of Big Show, Albert (pre- A-Train), and Mark Henry and called it The Fatties. I'm thinking about replacing Henry w/ Rikishi though.

"Def Jam Vendetta" mops the floor with the "Smackdown" series.

I think it's a shame that a wrestling game without even one wrestler would turn out to be better than a game with Wrestlers

"Def Jam Vendetta" mops the floor with the "Smackdown" series. Vandetta was a really hot game the first time I played it. After that is way blah. I have had Smackdown for 6 months, and play it daily. You said their is no blocking system, but the reverses are sick, and there are so many of them. This game is the best Wrestling Title on PS2, yet. The next game in the series looks to destroy this one though, with the Elimination Chamber, Bra & Panties match, and blood already confirmed. I can't wait to have a Bra & Panties match between Big Show, and Albert.

Plus there is no CAW in Vendetta, which really lowers the interest level for me.

Anybody else notice when the wrestlers seem to sink into the canvas when they are down? Like quicksand.
